Almost 20 years after establishing Purple Cherry Architects, renowned Annapolis architect Cathy Purple Cherry wanted to sharpen her firm’s focus on high-end homes. Peppermill Projects was selected to update the company’s brand identity and web presence to increase its visibility in a very competitive market.

CHALLENGE: Appeal to high-end clientele by differentiating Purple Cherry Architects from other established architectural firms in Maryland

SOLUTION:  Peppermill Projects started by redesigning the Purple Cherry logo—incorporating whimsical elements to salute Cathy’s unique name and fun personality while maintaining a sophisticated look and feel.  Continuing with a website redesign, we were inspired by high architecture magazines, and used a modern, clean layout and typography to draw the viewer’s focus to the beautiful photography. We used left-to-right (instead of up-and-down) horizontal scrolling, allowing for photos to be larger and for it to read more like a magazine spread.
