The Summit School specializes in teaching bright kids with dyslexia and other learning differences through research-based methodologies and strategies. The teachers and administrators create a partnership with parents to understand their students’ individualized needs and how to best address those needs.

CHALLENGE: Revamp website and optimize content to attract parents of prospective students as well as creating an information hub for current students and their parents

SOLUTION: The Summit School engaged Peppermill Projects to completely rebuild their school website design and rethink how content was organized and presented. We worked closely with our clients to determine what students (and potential students) need from the site while balancing that with the school’s marketing and outreach goals. We also helped The Summit School think more broadly about how they could brand themselves as experts in helping children and adults with learning differences succeed in college, careers and beyond.

STATUS: The site, still in progress, features a clean, easy-to-navigate interface that puts the school’s focus on students and families front and center through the use of video to share the personal stories of students, alumni, faculty and parents. We also helped the school develop a “Summit Resource Center” brand concept that packages and promotes all of their testing, tutoring and professional development services.
