Lanham Construction, a family business established in 1969, specializes in concrete, masonry and waterproofing. They approached Peppermill Projects for a website redesign after seeing our work for another client. After learning about all our services, they decided to launch a total brand refresh.
CHALLENGE: Help a respected construction company update its brand identity to appeal to new clients by communicating the high quality and service of this nearly 50-year-old firm
SOLUTION: We worked with Lanham Construction to develop a logo that evoked strength, stability and growth while respecting the company’s long history and family traditions. We employed a retro-looking font and style for the logo and introduced a 60s-era caricature of the owner into the marketing materials to make the company’s brand image more relatable and personable. We also incorporated some unexpected elements into the company’s identity package – for example, we used heavy-duty chipboard for business cards – after all, a company specializing in concrete and masonry should feel solid and sturdy!
RESULTS: A year after finishing this project, Lanham Construction maintains its A+ rating on Angie’s List and continues to attract new customers.
