I+I Botanicals was founded by two busy, working women with the vision of designing products that are Good for the Body, Good for the Earth, and Good for the Soul. Together, they researched clean, responsibly sourced ingredients that pair perfectly with CBD to design products that are dedicated to self-care and are suitable for all different skin and hair types.
Every business decision was the result of the brand's brand values and the packaging design was no exception. Overall, the main challenge was to create a luxurious, high-end experience while maintaining eco-friendly standards, which meant using as little plastic as possible. However, throughout our research, we learned that bottle breakage is a big issue for both retailers and consumer when using glass. To combat these two issues, we designed a custom box structure using rigid, recyclable cardboard materials. Inside the box is a perfectly sized cutout for the recyclable glass bottles to fit within, and magnets positioned inside the box frame to keep the bottle tightly secured. To tie in the product's ingredients, hand-water-colored botanicals are used throughout branding materials, the website, and packaging boxes.
Since its launch, at the Women Grow Leadership Summit in D.C., a two-day event and expo to inspire, empower, and educate women in the cannabis and hemp industries, the brand has received overwhelmingly positive feedback about the products, as well as the packaging design and booth set up.
i+i Botanicals was nominated for three awards at the Indie Beauty Expo in New York City in 2019: Best in Show, Best Body Moisturizer, and Best Branding. i+i won the award for Best Bath Product!
i+i was also awarded a Badge of Honor from Logo Lounge for the creativity and execution of the i+i identity.
